You will learn how to burnish edges, add silver or brass rivets and how to operate the hot-foil machine. Katie will share her passion & experience of design & leather craft throughout the workshop. It's the perfect chance to make thoughtful christmas gifts for loved ones, or to create your very own tree decorations that will last a lifetime. Katie also works as a lecturer on the Fashion Design degree at Leeds Arts University. She enjoys educating others on sustainable design and supporting workshop attendees in creating hand crafted leather pieces that will age beautifully over time.Originally from Leeds, after studying fashion, Katie spent over a decade in New York working as a womenswear designer for brands including Abercrombie and Fitch, GAP, and J.Crew before returning home to raise her family.
