In-person only event.LIDA Food is a newly-established community, which seeks to develop better data, data science and artificial intelligence (AI) methods to address global food system challenges, such as diet-related ill-health, environmental sustainability and food security. Please join us for an opportunity to network and create potential collaborations that can support your work. The session is open to all academics, researchers, postdocs and postgrads using, or interested in using data and AI to address challenges across the food system.This event will run as a ‘speed dating’ session, where you will have structured opportunities to talk to up to 10 other members across a range of career stages and disciplines, with dedicated time to pitch your work and/or research interests, and any ‘needs’ you have.What to expect:10 “speed dates” for 5 minutes each (50 minutes total):Pair up with another participant90-second pitch of what you work on and need (please prepare in advance)2-minute discussion on what you pitchedMove to next “speed date”Group reflection to share and understand collective needs of the communityOpportunity to join the LIDA Food Community, our Early Career Research (ECR) network and hear of future activities, events & collaboration opportunities.Please arrive having thought about how you will pitch your work and what your ‘needs’ are. ‘Needs’ might include e.g. connecting with someone with expertise in a specific area, finding a mentor, or learning about opportunities for future work.
