SQUID:

Squid have come a long way since forming in 2016 as an instrumental jazz band for a monthly
night in Brighton whilst living in cheap rented accommodation across the Sussex coast as they
finished their studies. The band started expressing influences from outsider punk to Fourth
World, and became known for their chaotic and increasingly incendiary live shows. The band
relocated to London to make the most of their burgeoning reputation, and having heard them at
the Brixton institution The Windmill, producer Dan Carey invited them to his studio; releasing a
string of fine singles on Speedy Wunderground and the Town Centre EP (2019) which
cemented their reputation. An album deal with visionary label Warp followed, and the hype grew
further.
Their debut album Bright Green Field (2021) arrived as the world was starting to open up after
the pandemic and they broke into the top 5 in the UK chart. In 2023 they released their
sophomore album, the brooding O Monolith, which took the band all over the world and broke
new ground that hardly seemed possible five years prior. Like the bravest sophomore albums, O
Monolith charted a trajectory beyond their breakthrough sound, taking the band towards an
experimental career ahead. Fans growing with them, disseminated alternative versions of songs
and demos in setlists and NTS sessions.
Now on their third album, Cowards, the English art rock quintet extend and explore textures of
folk, kosmische, psychedelia, jazz and electronics – hovering at 30,000 feet above distinct tales
of human evil: apophenia-tinged songs punched by vantablack comedy.

Squid are Louis Borlase, Arthur Leadbetter, Laurie Nankivell ,Anton Pearson and Ollie
Judge

UGLY:

Originally hailing from Cambridge, now residing in London - Ugly have been using downtime to craft a sound true to their own. Fusing inspiration from various backgrounds of Choral, Post-Rock and the staples of the 60s/70s, Ugly’s take on the writing process is unique and constantly moving forward.

THEATRE:

There’s very little, if anything, known about the Limerick band, THEATRE, who seem to be moving in the shadows of Ireland’s explosive music scene. The five piece, made up of Dara, Oscar, Gerry and Sean, have whipped up a storm of excitement through their outstanding live shows; gorgeous, emotive melodies and the stunning vocals of lead singer, Maeve. Blending ethereal rock music with folk and shoegaze, the music is understated yet feels timeless, and their songs seem to enter your body, trance-like, and never leave. Despite the spotlight shining so heavily on Irish music at the moment, they have spent a year writing and building their live set and have quietly become the ones to look out for on any line up. Now breaking their silence and set to release their first single ’The Fall’ the tension is certainly rising and there is a sense that finally, all will be revealed.

TANZANA:

Glasgow 5 piece Tanzana formed at the start of 2023. They create trip-hop influenced alternative rock music and have been performing consistently on the Glasgow scene, from supporting Lucia at SWG3’s Galvanisers venue, to hosting their first club night at King Tuts in the summer of 2025, Tanzana are creating a distinctive sound to compliment the vibrant Glasgow scene. When asked what they want their music to do, they replied"
… We want our music to be a catalyst, unearthing the creativity and self-expression in listeners…

1000 RABBITS:

1000 Rabbits. grooving, confessional art rock. Grounded by playful bass synthesiser, expressive vocal lines weave through a colourful tapestry of violin, guitar and drums, creating something immediate and immersive: rhythm-forward, emotionally raw, and built for bodies in motion. Comprising Laura (violin), Liv (synthesiser), Paolo (guitar), River (vocals) and Luke (drums), the five-piece cut their teeth across London’s independent venues, becoming regulars at The Windmill in Brixton where their high-voltage performances earned them a reputation as local “powerhouses”

MAX WINTER:

Winter is a talented multidisciplinary musician , a composition graduate from the prestigious Trinity Laban conservatoire . Having recently toured as the guitarist in Nourished By Time’s live band as well as being one third of thredd, Winter continues to turn his attentions to his solo output.

MARSY:

Marsy are a London based five piece that combine effortless songwriting with timeless melodies. Yet to release any music online, catching them at various shows across the UK has handed audiences fortunate enough to see them a taster of what is set to be a special 2025. For fans of Angel Olsen, Broadcast and Jessica Pratt.

BEDWORM:

Fuzzy, lofi, slowcore band from Wakefield, UK.

SLICK CAGE:

Leeds post-punk/art-rock band.

However, it has been a centrepiece of the Leeds music scene for a number of years, and hosts gigs most nights of the week, which are put on by a variety of local promoters.\nThe name Brudenell is said to come from the family of James Thomas Brudenell, who owned Kirkstall Abbey after it ceased to be a monastery in 1539. James Thomas Brudenell was also the Earl of Cardigan. This connection explains why many roads in the Hyde Park area of Leeds are named Cardigan and Brudenell, and therefore how the Brudenell itself got its name.\nThe Brudenell Social and Recreational Club has a long and varied history and was formed on December 8th, 1913, it bought its first premises and current land shortly afterwards where it is still located today.\n\nNot just about music... facilities include, a lounge, Games Room with Snooker Table, 5 Pool Tables, Darts, Table Football, Pinball Machine, A 400 capacity concert room, 2 other private meeting rooms, Sky TV and ESPN showing all the live sports in HD.\n\nQuality Local cask and world speciality craft ales sit alongside well known and accessible brands, all at a fair price.\n \nWe also have other local groups whom are situated here, Photography, Film, and even Origami groups meet on regular occasions.\n"
