Whether that be the death of a loved one, pet loss, job loss, divorce or a change in circumstances that leave you grieving the person you once were.Grief can affect every part of our being. The physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Being amongst others who are experiencing the same is a great comfort. Soundbaths offer a gentle way to process and create a space where people can rest, release, and reconnect with themselves without needing to “do” anything.Who is this for:This event is for anyone experiencing grief, in whichever shape or form.What to expect:We'll start with a one word check in before being given the option to share (without pressure - all is welcome). After which, you'll be encouraged to lie down on a fold out bed and get comfortable under a blanket. After a short meditation, you’ll be immersed in a soothing soundscape while you drift off into relaxation.Benefits of peer run grief circles:Reduces isolationGrief can feel profoundly lonely. Sitting with others who are also grieving offers the quiet reassurance of “I’m not the only one.”Normalises the grieving processHearing a range of experiences helps people understand there is no right way to grieve — no timeline, no hierarchy of loss.Shared understanding without fixingPeer spaces tend to be less about advice and more about presence. This often feels safer than well-meaning but unhelpful reassurance.Empowerment through mutual supportParticipants aren’t passive recipients of care — everyone contributes simply by being there. Sound bypasses the thinking mind and meets people where they are emotionally. This is especially powerful when words feel empty or when traditional mourning spaces don’t quite meet the needs of the grieving individual.Spiritual SupportFor those seeking spiritual comfort (whether religious or not), soundbaths can offer a sense of connection to the unseen - to the person lost, to source, or simply to the deeper self. They invite a meditative, open-hearted state where insight, release, or even peace may arise.What you will need:Please bring some water to stay hydrated. Although the studio has plenty, feel free to bring your own blankets and cushions to make sure you're extra comfortable. You will be lying down and it's not unusual for your body temperature to drop once you start to relax, so make sure you're dressed appropriately. Don't forget your comfy socks.Please note: The event is not suitable for the following health conditions: epilepsy, heart conditions (incl.pacemakers), any metal implants inside the body or first trimester of pregnancy. Please consult your doctor if you are concerned about any health issues ahead of the session.About the venue:Studio 6 is on the second floor of an old Mill that unfortunately doesn't have a lift, and therefore accessibility is limited. Please contact us for any further information. On street parking is available at the venue.*Space is limited so please book ahead.
