Designing sustainability in to food packagingby Ian Schofield
Ian Schofield was Own Label Manager at Iceland in January 2018 when they announced their plans to become the first mainstream retailer to be plastic free on all of their own-brand products by 2023. We are delighted to welcome Ian as December’s speaker in Leeds Business School’s guest lecture series. With his career dedicated to packaging and printing, Ian highlights how we have no universal kerbside waste packaging policy, that we continue to send our waste overseas and into landfill and that consumers are ultimately confused.Speaking ahead of Christmas when much packaging will pass through UK homes, Ian will guide guests through questions such as “what can we do now?” and “can sustainability be designed in at the start?"Don’t miss your opportunity to hear from Ian as he explores designing sustainability into food packaging.
