We may see lapwings, avocets, and other waders, alongside terns, grebes, ducks, and geese on the water. There’s also a good chance of spotting warblers arriving back for the season, as well as swallows, sand martins, and birds of prey such as kestrels or red kites overhead. St Aidan's is also known for bitterns with their booming calls which we may be lucky enough to hear in April.As always, we’ll take things at an easy pace — stopping often to watch, listen, and share what we’re seeing.
