Beginners Portraiture

This workshop is led by Leeds-based artist Thomas Egan, who has a passion for drawing people and a studio at Assembly House in Armley.

The class focuses on teaching you fundamental techniques to achieve accurate portraits from both life and photographs.

• Warm-up: Start with quick sketches before moving into more detailed, artful drawings.
• Morning Session (Photographs): The first half of the day will involve working from photographs to practice core techniques.
• Afternoon Session (Life Drawing): After lunch, you will work from a life model in the studio.

By the end of the session, you'll gain a solid grasp of how to confidently and accurately draw portraits of your friends and family.

All tickets are non -refundable.

We are able to provide credit / transfer onto another course or workshop if there is two or more weeks’ notice.

Within a two-week period, under no circumstances can we transfer you onto another event. We have incurred material costs & committed numbers to the tutor.
