Originally from Leek in the Staffordshire Moorlands, Matt moved to Leeds in 2012 to study Jazz at Leeds College of Music, now Leeds Conservatoire. Since then he has managed to develop his own personal style and approach on the flute and saxophone leading him to be an in demand artist in the whole UK as well as in the North. Matt has released his own music on DIRTH records and is a member of Mu Quintet and Ancient Infinity Orchestra. It was a proud moment to have such a great band celebrating their homecoming gig in the very building where it all started.Legendary New York MC J-Live absolutely tore the roof off our little club when he paid a visit in 2018. The notoriously nomadic 1 man show gave the packed out house a hip-Hop lesson and a night to remember for all who were lucky enough to get a ticket.Aside from the international acts who have performed for us we love nothing more than seeing Leeds young talent cut their teeth in our venue.
