Leeds Celebrates Hip Hop History Month – A Community Celebration of 51 Years of Hip Hop Kulture
The Hip Hop Historian Society (HHHS) proudly invites the community to join us for a vibrant celebration of Hip Hop History Month on Sunday 30th November 2025, from 11am to 4pm at Leeds City Museum, Millennium Square, Leeds, LS2 8BH.
This free, family-friendly event celebrates the 51st year of Hip Hop Kulture, bringing together pioneers, artists, dancers, deejays, creatives, and the local community for a day of culture, history, and creativity.
What to Expect:
• Workshops & Live performances
Featuring: Boom Chikka Boom, Hello Hip Hop, Hyro Graff, IQWON & DMW, and more—exploring elements of hip hop including breakin’, graffiti, emceeing, DJing, beatboxin’, and Knowledge
• Live Performances & Emcee Cyphers
With acts including Oddball, Jonie D & MC Daddy Speedo, Norty, J Kas, Hate-rid + Marc Mushington, BBWOY, Zulu Abantu, Oliver Rees, Shwanga, and more.
• Deejays on Decks:
DJ Weston, DJ GQ, DJ Agent M, plus appearances from Cezz Sean, Dinkmaster, DRMTCTCHR, and others.
• Art Exhibition & Baby Block Party ages 0-99yrs,
Community artwork displays, and creative spaces for families and young children.
This event is part of a year-long programme celebrating Hip Hop’s global legacy and its unique impact on Leeds—honouring the culture’s five original elements and its message of peace, love, unity, and safely having fun.
