WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION: Memoir Writing: What’s Your Story?

We all have stories to tell. Pick up the pen and get started in this guided workshop with simple writing prompts. Learn practical tips for sustaining a writing habit you can stick with and enjoy. No prior writing experience necessary. All adults are welcome to attend. Please bring a notebook and a pen. 
 
This program is free for participants; it's supported by the Lee Library and the Lee Cultural Council, a local organization supported by Mass Cultural Council.

BIO: 
Lara believes that a writing practice can be built from short bursts of freewriting. A graduate of the Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College (MFA), Lara Tupper taught writing at Rutgers University for many years and now presents workshops in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. She is founder of Swift Ink Stories (private manuscript development and public writing workshops) and is an award-winning author of four books: novels At the Center (forthcoming in 2027), Off Island and A Thousand and One Nights and a short story collection, Amphibians.
