- **Event Description**: Relay For Life of Central NY is Central NY's opportunity to come together and celebrate local cancer survivors, encourage those currently battling, remember those we have lost because of cancer, and raise funds for the American Cancer Society to fund more research and support programs for patients & their families. 

Event kicks off with opening survivor & caregiver laps at Noon (Survivors can get their free survivor t-shirt by mail just for pre-registering online at www.relayforlife.org/cny). Free lunch reception for cancer survivors following opening ceremonies. 

Throughout the day, as teams take their laps around the track, there will be fundraisers, free kids activities, music, fun contests, a wide variety of food trucks, cancer education information, theme laps and more! Free to attend! 

Luminaria ceremony at 8:30 PM where the track is lined with white luminaria marked in honor or in memory of those who have battled this disease. Luminaria are available before the event online at www.RelayForLife.org/CNY or the day of at the luminaria area. 

Closing ceremonies and awards at 9:30 PM. 

Free park admission for anyone attending the event. Lots of free parking available all day. You do not need to be on a team to visit & support the teams' efforts!
