- **Event Description**: Join Park Naturalists in keeping up with New Year's resolutions and celebrating the USA’s 250th anniversary by resolving to adventure more!About this EventMarch into the new month with a First Day Hike through the natural world of Round Valley. We’ll hike a 2.50 mile loop in preparation for the USA's 250th anniversary at a slow pace from the Green-blazed Pine Tree Trail to the Blue-blazed Water Trail and end on the White-blazed Hike & Bike Trail. The path begins wide and flat and switches to a rocky foot-trail with excellent views of the reservoir (unless the trail is covered in snow, of course). Maybe we'll even be blessed by seeing Round Valley's resident Bald Eagles. For all of the remaining 305 days ahead, you’ll remember your first March steps.Wear warm winter clothing and footwear. Bring water and any snacks that you may need to be comfortable along the hike. All ages are welcome, children (under 17) must be accompanied by a responsible adult. The trail is not stroller friendly, backpack carriers are recommended for very young children. Friendly pets on a 6ft leash are welcome as well.Registration Required, Don't be a "No-Show!"If you are unable to attend this event, please remember to cancel your ticket using the link in your confirmation email to allow someone else the opportunity to attend.
