Dr.John Hedley PhD. 1993 from UCLA and expert of the Ediacaran fauna in South Australia (the earliest complex, soft-bodied, multicellular animal life) will be speaking. John is a business owner of The Natural Canvas. He will be discussing his findings on these Pre-Cambrian fossils in which he did his doctorate.

Presenting with him will be Briana Robarge, a fossil preparator at the Natural Canvas. They have traveled the world finding fossils and go to the world’s largest fossil show in Tucson yearly. Some of their fossils, including dinosaurs, can be found in museums.

PLUS - WHAT DID YOU GET AT THE ANNUAL GEM SHOW?????

This is our annual meeting to bring whatever specimens, jewelry, or other items you would like to donate to the President's personal collection (ahem . . . clears throat . . . I mean that you would like to show off to the members that you got at our annual gem show, ask questions and then take back to your home (dang it . . . I almost had ya)).

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A MEMBER TO ATTEND THE MEETINGS, however, when you come to our meeting and know you want to join our “Rockin” family, you will be happy to know that our annual membership is only $15 for adults or $20 for an entire family (all at the same address) and FREE for honorary members age 70 and above. Your membership fees not only give you our “gem” of a newsletter every month, but it also helps to support scholarships and school grants.
