Heartland Roller Derby Union hosts a Brand-New Skater Intro Class on the first Monday of each month, coached by Riot, our Training Coordinator.

Heartland's next Intro to Skate Class is July 6th. Intro classes are always held on the first Monday of each month.

This class is open to ages 7-107. No experience is needed, and your first drop-in is free if you are a brand-new skater or have never played roller derby.

When: First Monday of each month
Where: League City Community Center
Address: 400 S. Kansas Ave., League City, TX 77573
Arrive: 5:30 to 5:45 p.m.
Lace up: 5:45 p.m.
Beginner practice: 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

We recommend bringing roller skates, a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards.

No gear? No problem! Message us and we will help you hunt for loaner gear.

We will help you get geared up, learn the basics, and build confidence in a supportive space with people who remember what it feels like to be brand new.
