Additionally, we have BIG news to share! 📣 The Monette Beautification Committee and Leachville Beautification Commission are joining forces to make Saturday, December 12th a Christmas celebration to remember — “Christmas on Buffalo Island!” Two towns. Two parades. One BIG day of Christmas celebration!

𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦:

The festivities will begin in Monette - line up for the Monette parade will start at 1:30 with the parade kicking off sharply at 3:00 PM in Downtown Monette! There will be live commentators and it will be streamed LIVE on Facebook thanks to the BIC EAST program!

Then, make the short drive over to Leachville to finish up the evening! Line up for the Leachville Christmas Parade will start at 4:30 at BIC East campus and the parade will kick off at 6:00 PM and will head north to historic Downtown Leachville!

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗕𝗜𝗚 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗭𝗘:

And this year, there’s an extra BIG reason to participate in BOTH! Price Contracting Solutions & Price’s Bakehouse of Leachville is sponsoring a $1,000 GRAND PRIZE for the overall “Best of Show!” — To qualify for the $1,000 prize, your float or entry must participate in BOTH the Monette and Leachville Christmas Parades. Following the parades that evening, representatives from both beautification organizations will join together to select the Christmas on Buffalo Island Best of Show!

We’re encouraging churches, businesses, civic organizations, schools, families, clubs and community groups from all across Buffalo Island and beyond to decorate those floats, string up the lights and join us for BOTH parades!

“This is about more than two parades. It’s about two neighboring communities coming together, supporting one another and celebrating the Christmas season as one Buffalo Island family. So, mark your calendars for Saturday, December 12th and get ready for an afternoon and evening filled with lights, floats, Christmas music, community spirit and plenty of holiday magic!” said LBC President & Founder Jerred Price.
