Some weeks we will have special guests leading the programs! Grades 2nd-4th (going into this fall). Registration is required! You must sign up for each session separately.*

*The times of our 2nd-4th grade and 5th-7th grade groups are scheduled so that they line up with dismissal of the STEAM Camps at Wolcott Street School. If your child is signed up for STEAM at the school on the date of one of our programs, let us know at registration and we will pick them up at their dismissal time like we do for after school programs. This only applies to kids going into 3rd-7th grades.

Schedule:

June 30: Happy Birthday America Tie Dye: Join Miss Sara for our first 2nd-4th grade Adventure Club!  During this program we will make sparkle bottles and tie dye t-shirts red, white, and blue to wear to an Independence Day parade!  PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN WHITE COTTON T-SHIRT

July 7: Dinosaur Oil Pastels: Join Miss Sara for our 2nd-4th grade Adventure Club!  This week we will experiment with oil pastels and create a beautiful sunset dinosaur silhouette artwork.

July 14: Cave Painting - held outside: Melanie from Nioga will lead our adventurers this week. Using boxes, brown paper, chalk, and headlights, we will create a cave system that participants can navigate through and create art in. Participants will navigate (crawl through) a cardboard "cave" with headlamps and make their own cave drawings with chalk. This replicates the experiences of prehistoric humans who painted in dim light. Weather permitting, this program will be held outside.

July 22: Dino Dig - held outside: Each participant will get their own little piece of earth to dig through, like an archaeologist, to find hidden treasures that they will get to bring home! Weather permitting, this program will be held outside.  

July 28: Unearth an Ant Story: Using multiple materials, participants will create an artwork of some incredible diggers, ANTS!

August 5: Dinosaur Terrariums: Using jars, sand, fake plants, and mini dinos, we will recreate a dinosaur habitat with Melanie from NIOGA.

August 11:  Dino Backpack Charms: Let's have fun creating dinosaur keychains or "bag charms" to close out our summer adventures.
