Cowgirl Tough is a 10-week course for young women age 13 ~18 years old who would like a place to build strong friendships, learn healthy boundaries and grow in their love for Jesus.
We will be doing a Bible study together called Lazarus Awakening by Joanna Weaver.  We will encounter the story of Mary, Martha and Lazarus in a fresh way and open our hearts to the truth that we are cherished ~ apart from anything we accomplish, apart from anything we bring.  Just as Jesus called Lazarus forth to new life, He wants to free us to live fully in the light of His love, unhindered by fear, regret or self-condemnation.  
We will spend approximately 30 minutes working together on animal husbandry skills. Then we will go to supper break, watch a video and discuss our Bible study questions.  After supper, we head out to the indoor riding arena and enjoy some 4-legged fellowship time. 
Horseback riding has been proven time and time again to help with effects of depression, loneliness, anxiety, and many other disorders that affect our young people today.  Our perspective shifts whether we are saddled up and riding or just working beside our horse.  
At HIS Haven Ranch, we partner horses that needed a place to live with youth who are needing support for various reasons outside of their control.

We encourage your Cowgirl to raise her own funds for camp. Ideas to help encourage them to earn funding for horse camp are by doing jobs for others (yard work, garage cleaning, babysitting etc.), organizing a Pizza Ranch Tip Night to benefit the Ranch, doing a Facebook Fundraiser, GiveSendGo.com fundraiser, candy bar sales, bagging groceries for tips, etc. If you have a financial need, please do not hesitate to reach out to us for grant information.
