Gilly is a 2001 graduate of Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts. During her college career, Gilly competed in the IHSA National Horse Show three times. She worked as the Assistant Coach for the prestigious Mount Holyoke Varsity Equestrian Team from 2003-2010, helping lead the team to a National Championship, two Reserve National Championships, and numerous Individual Titles. Upon moving to Illinois, Gilly continued training students in the disciplines of Hunter/Jumper/Equitation as well as Eventing and Dressage. Her primary focus is helping her students improve their position which translates into enhanced communication with their equine partners.
