Being an activist of Plast, a Ukrainian scouting organization active in the US, Xenya learned the art of pysanka making from other Plast members here in the States. Having given dozens of pysanka workshops, Xenya invites you to share this unique experience on March 18, 2023.During the two workshops, Xenya will teach you how to use the pysanka art tools (kistka, wax, dyes) and will help you to make your own personalized pysanka. Pattern meanings, fun history facts about pysanka art, and experiences that emerged around Ukrainian Easter eggs will have a place during the workshops — fun time guaranteed!All funds raised at these workshops will proceed to the Ukrainian Society of Eastern Iowa to purchase first aid supplies for Ukrainians in need.
