Here we'll explore whatever we might find there, with a focus on fungi, how it's been used in traditional cultures over the world, and the role it plays in the 'wood-wide-web'. We'll also learn some of the techniques that foragers and naturalists use to identify and distinguish different species of mushroom.We'll follow a 6km loop on tracks that are level but uneven and potentially muddy. Please bring walking boots or wellies, waterproof clothing, walking poles if required, and lunch.We ask for donations for this event to help with our work, which goes towards education about and protection of the nature of the Highlands. Please give what you feel you can afford. We suggest a minimum donation of £10 per person to cover our costs or £25 per person to further support our work.* please be aware that there is a required £1 minimum donation. This covers Eventbrite fees and does not go to the Ranger service.*Places are limited and booking is prefered.
