Join us for a summer evening built around creativity, movement, adventure and one beautiful August sky as we welcome the Full Sturgeon Moon.

🌙 THE EVENING

7:45 PM | Moonlight Gathering + Black-Sky Art
Meet at The Healthy Hippie and create your own moon-inspired artwork on black paper using metallics, light-catching colors and simple techniques.

We’ll also hand out Night Sky Bingo cards for the evening. Keep your eyes open throughout the hike and see how many nighttime sights you can spot!

🏆 Night Sky Bingo Prize:
Complete the challenge and you’ll be entered to win a YonderFest 2025 T-shirt or tank!

This is also the perfect time to grab an Adventure Box, drink or something to-go from the café before we hit the trail.

8:30 PM | Fish Trail Moon Hike
Darrell will lead us up the approximately 1.7-mile Fish Trail to one of our favorite overlooks.

Bring water, sturdy shoes and a flashlight or headlamp. Watch for bingo finds along the way; stars, constellations, nighttime sounds, silhouettes and whatever else the August sky gives us.

9:15 PM | Sturgeon Moon at the Overlook
We’ll settle in at the top for moon watching, photos, Night Sky Bingo and a simple Full Moon reflection activity.

This is the part where we slow everything down for a few minutes and simply enjoy being high above Medicine Park under an August night sky.

9:40 PM | Lantern Descent
We’ll make our way back down together by headlamp and flashlight, with one last chance to finish those bingo cards.

10:15 PM | Back at The Healthy Hippie
Turn in bingo cards, announce our YonderFest shirt/tank winner, and call it a night.

Come as you are. Bring someone you love. Bring the kids who can comfortably handle an evening hike. Bring your curiosity.
