Fire Cider & Herbal Vinegars Workshop

Fire Cider is a delicious mix of sweet, sour and spicy, a herbal infused vinegar which is used both as a food and medicine. It is one of the best and tastiest immune tonics and can be taken daily to prevent, stave off or alleviate coughs, colds, flus sore throats and more. You can use it on salads and greens, in marinades, soups and stir-fries. You can drink it straight or add some to warm water, tea or a hot toddy. Make a jar of fire cider - you can make a bright red version or a bright yellow cider - and it will be ready for your holiday gifts.

In this workshop you'll learn how to make fire cider using fresh local farm ingredients, some wild plants and herbs and spices from your kitchen cabinet. We will discuss the medicinal properties of the ingredients and how they benefit the immune, digestive, heart, nervous system and more. You will take home a jar of fire cider. Makes a lovely gift.

Children welcome. They will have lots of fun chopping ingredients and making and naming their own jar of Fire Cider.
