Lawrence, MA — El Ateneo Dominicano de Nueva Inglaterra, organización sin fines de lucro dedicada a preservar y promover el arte y la cultura de la República Dominicana, anunció su tradicional evento “Sancocho Bailable” para el sábado 28 de febrero de 2026, en el marco de la celebración de la Independencia Dominicana.

La actividad se llevará a cabo de 6:00 PM a 11:00 PM en la sede del Ateneo, ubicada en 15 Union Street, Entrada B, Suite 105, Lawrence, MA 01840, y contará con la participación musical de Sinfonía Tropical, dirigida por el reconocido artista Mario Villar.

Cultura, música y sabor dominicano

• Entrada: $60 por persona
• Incluye: Música en vivo, sancocho tradicional, ambiente festivo y “sorpresas” aún no reveladas
• Objetivo: Reunir a la comunidad dominicana y latinoamericana en Nueva Inglaterra para celebrar sus raíces con alegría y orgullo

¿Quiénes organizan?

El evento es organizado por el Ateneo Dominicano de Nueva Inglaterra, una entidad cultural sin afiliación política que trabaja activamente para mantener viva la herencia artística dominicana en Estados Unidos. Su misión es fomentar el conocimiento y la apreciación de la cultura dominicana entre las nuevas generaciones mediante actividades culturales, artísticas y educativas.

El equipo organizador incluye a Jenny García (directora ejecutiva), Árelis Cabral (secretaria), Lorenza Ramírez, María Roque, Flor Sabino, Wilfredo Peralta, Sarah Pérez e Iva De Los Santos, todos comprometidos con la difusión de los valores culturales dominicanos.

Lawrence, MA — The Dominican Athenaeum of New England, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the art and culture of the Dominican Republic, has announced its traditional “Sancocho Bailable” event for Saturday, February 28, 2026, as part of the celebration of Dominican Independence. Sancocho is a hearty Dominican stew with root vegetables and meats. This event is a Sancocho Dance Party.

The activity will take place from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM at the Athenaeum’s headquarters, located at 15 Union Street, Entrance B, Suite 105, Lawrence, MA 01840, and will feature live music by Sinfonía Tropical, directed by renowned artist Mario Villar.
