- **Event Description**: Ready to give archery a try? This beginner-friendly class is designed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of archery in a welcoming, supportive environment. 

You’ll learn essential whistle commands, range rules, and safe handling of bows and arrows while building confidence and learning the basics of a consistent shot. We’ll get familiar with archery equipment, including recurve and compound bows, arrows, quivers, arm guards, and finger tabs. Then, we’ll break down the shot cycle step by step, practicing proper stance, bow grip, nocking the arrow, drawing, anchoring, aiming, and releasing. 

Participants are welcome to bring their own archery equipment. Otherwise, all equipment is provided. 

This class is free, but pre-registration is required. As Clinton SP is an outdoor archery range, this class will be held as weather permits. All participants must sign the 2026 liability waiver, available on our website, prior to attending.
