# Event Details - **Event Name**: Empire's Grand Re-Opening 3rd Annual $2800 added 5-Man 8-Ball Tournament! - **Event Start and End Date**: Fri, 27 Feb, 2026 at 05:00 pm – Sun, 01 Mar, 2026 at 08:00 pm - **Event Description**: This will be the 1st large tournament ran at the new Empire Bar & Billiards building so come and enjoy us to celebrate this re-opening at the new location!! There will be so much more going on this weekend so stay tuned for more announcements regarding other exciting things happening!! This tournament WILL NOT be reported to or ran through APA scoring so no handicap movement!!! Tournament will be all 8-Ball and will use the APA scoresheet and point system for each match 5-Man Teams can be made up from any of the local leagues. Each player can only be on 1 team! (You may add a 6th player it will cost your team a extra $100) Handicap max for this tournament is 23 using APA 8-Ball. You can only have 2 players 6 or above, and cannot have 2 7’s. (You MUST pre-pay to lock in your handicaps). (If you pay to lock in your handicaps you also can not have all your players move up, TD has the right to make you make some adjustments or offer you your money back). If you play in more than 1 area, we will use your highest handicap. If you haven’t played in any league in the last 6 months check with the tournament director, I am a little stricter in these 5-Man tournaments. (All handicaps will be confirmed by tournament director) Registration starts at 5:00 PM Friday night Calcutta to start at 5:30 sharp so make sure to have someone there, and play will start at 6:00 PM Friday night We will do 2 rounds Friday night starting at 6pm, then return Saturday to start at 9am, and then start time Sunday will be between 9am and 11am depending on where we are at in the tournament. 28 TEAM MAX with the expanded amount of tables at this new location!!!! - We will play on 2 tables each match till towards the end so we can keep the tournament DOUBLE ELIMINATION Cost is $500 per team plus calcutta Empire will also add $$$ to the prize fund.
