The City of Lawrence is hosting this year’s event on Saturday, August 8, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at a new location: Douglas County Fairgrounds, 2120 Harper Street.

This free event is open to all Douglas County residents and sponsored by Teknix Solutions. It is a safe, responsible way to recycle old electronics, protect your data, and help keep e-waste out of the landfill.

Accepted items include many electronics that use electricity or have a cord, including computers, laptops, speakers, keyboards, mice, servers, printers, microwaves, TVs, gaming systems, light fixtures, stereos, radios, phones, audio and visual equipment, lab equipment, cables, battery backup systems, monitors and other small appliances.

Some TVs and monitors will be accepted for a fee:
CRT TVs, CRT monitors and projection TVs: $40 each
LCD TVs and monitors: $10 each

Teknix Solutions can accept cash, PayPal or Venmo for these fees. Credit and debit cards will not be accepted.

Not everything electronic is accepted, so please check the full list before you load up your vehicle.
