Issus à l’origine de la scène hardcore DIY, Coilguns ont depuis forgé leur propre mélange de punk et de noise-rock. Leurs concerts sauvages et euphorisants se veulent une invitation bienveillante et libératrice à toute personne avide de tester le crowd surfing. Après plusieurs albums autoproduits, le groupe a enregistré son quatrième disque en Norvège avec Scott Evans, puis l’a confié au mixage de Tom Dalgety. Sorti en 2024, l’album a propulsé le groupe dans une tournée mondiale de plus de 85 concerts. Entre deux tournées, Coilguns a enregistré son cinquième album à La Chaux-de-Fonds avec la même équipe, enrichie par la collaboration de Ben Chisholm.
