The Laurel Police Department is excited to launch the 2026 Citizens Police Academy, an 8-week program designed to give community members an inside look at modern policing through hands-on demonstrations, real-world discussions, and direct interaction with our officers.
📅 Wednesday Nights | April 1st – May 20th, 2026
⏰ 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

👮 Topics include:
• Response to Resistance & De-escalation
• DUI & Alcohol Impairment
• Criminal, Narcotic and Gang Investigations
• Mental Health Response
• School Resource Officers
• Live K-9 Demonstration, DUI Simulator, Firearms Simulator, SWAT Presentation
👕 All participants receive a Citizens Police Academy T-shirt
