Put your gingerbread house making skills to use in this year’s Holly Jolly Gingerbread House Contest!
Enter our Holly Jolly Gingerbread House Contest, and have your creation showcased at WCCC (downtown Latrobe campus) during Holly Jolly Christmas in Latrobe!
REGISTRATION:
To participate, complete the official entry form online at hollyjollylatrobe.com OR turn in a hard copy of the form to Latrobe Art Center no later than Monday, November 24th. Hard copies of the entry form and rules and regulations are also available at Latrobe Art Center and can be picked up during regular operating hours.
GINGERBREAD HOUSE DROP-OFF:
All completed houses must be dropped off at Latrobe-WCCC on Tuesday, December 2nd, 8am-7pm.
Upon drop-off, you must include your name somewhere on or attached to the bottom of your house so that our Holly Jolly event staff can properly identify your entry. Look for the gingerbread man signs, and follow the arrows that will guide you to the appropriate entrance of the building. WCCC front desk staff will assist you upon your arrival. All houses must be made with at least 75% edible materials and cannot exceed 12”w x 18”l x 18”h.
AWARD SELECTION & VOTING:
NEW THIS YEAR!!! All gingerbread creations will be judged privately by a selected panel of judges on Wednesday, December 3rd. These judges will select award recipients (1st-3rd place) in each age category.
As tradition, the public can officially begin viewing and voting for the "Community Choice Award" recipient during the following days & times:
Thursday, December 4th | 8am-8:30pm
Friday, December 5th | 8am-5pm
Saturday, December 6th | 10am-2pm
WINNERS:
~ Category Award Winners (1st-3rd Place) will be announced prior to the tree lighting ceremony on Thursday, December 4th during Light Up Latrobe
~ Community Choice Award Winners will be announced following Holly Jolly Christmas in Latrobe on Monday, December 8th.
