Traditional childbirth preparation classes tend to focus most on what to expect during pregnancy and helping you prepare for labor and birth. Your journey doesn’t end at birth though—it’s just beginning! The Birthplace’s Postpartum Afterglow Class is here to prepare you for what to expect during the fourth trimester- the postpartum period. Together, we’ll talk about postpartum recovery, emotional and physical well-being, best practices for maintaining a healthy relationship between you and your partner, and what to expect in the early weeks as you transition into parenthood. We will also provide you with community resources for ongoing support.This class is designed to be taken prior to delivery.Cost: $30 (Registration includes two adults)*Refunds are available via Eventbrite if you cancel within 7 days of the scheduled class date. Requests for refunds after the class has taken place will not be granted.All classes are held in the Summerlin Hospital Family Place Classroom, located at 653 N. Town Center Drive.
