They are hosted, instructed, and attended only by women and girls. It's our time to come together! All ages and skill levels from any academy affiliation are welcome to attend. No experience required. Our events are designed for 100% participation, but do allow chaperones to accompany underage participants as spectators.Our events are donation based in order to provide equal opportunity to everyone. Your donations provide paid teaching opportunities for our guest instructor(s) and help to expand and make Girls in Gis programs such as our events, our leadership program and instructional training programs and our scholarships possible. If you are not able to make a donation please contact us and we will work with you so that you are able to participate.You can also purchase a GIG t-shirt, patches and more GIG merchandise with your donation. All orders can be picked up during the event.GIG Nevada - Las Vegas Guest instructors: Beatrice Jin, Sophia McDermott, Natalia Nival and Denise KrahnBeatrice Jin is a black belt from Arlington, VA at Kogaion Academy. She is currently ranked in the IBJJF top ten of adult black belts in her weight in both gi and nogi and is an adult black belt World, Pan, and Euros medalist, as well as black belt American National and JJCon champion. Her approach to jiujitsu is to be systematic and brute force compete as much as possible. Besides grappling, she likes duck stuff (chicken, platypus, beak-having animals all okay too) and scribbling on a white board.Denise Krahn is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt and has been training and competing for over a decade. She is a longtime international competitor and coach at Hilti BJJ Berlin, where she is also actively involved in the development of the women’s program.Denise has competed at the highest level internationally in both Gi and No-Gi. In 2026, she became IBJJF European Champion at Black Belt. She is also a multiple-time European and World Championship medalist, AJP World Champion, AJP World Pro silver medalist, and IBJJF No-Gi World Master 1 Champion.Beyond competition, Denise is passionate about developing the next generation of athletes and creating strong, inclusive training environments. After many years as part of the German National Team and the German military’s elite sports program, she brings extensive experience from high-performance sport into her work as an athlete and coach.Sophia McDermott is Australia’s first female black belt and currently a 4th degree black belt.She is a multiple time Pan Am, No Gi World and World Champion.Sophia focuses on teaching women’s specific jiujitsu, health & fitness, through her online platform, www.Lethal-Ladies.com, Lifestyle Camps, seminars and classes.Natalia Novak is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt with a background in education and leadership. I train alongside my husband, owner of Diamond Grappling Las Vegas, and our three children, who are also practitioners of Jiu-Jitsu.COST: $20 Min Donation.
