By bringing awareness to different parts of the body—rather than avoiding or suppressing them—we create an opportunity for release and transformation. In this practice, we will ground and center ourselves, locate sensations in the body, bring loving awareness to those spaces, integrate and release emotions, and send loving compassion to ourselves.By remaining present—not resisting or distracting ourselves—we develop a witnessing consciousness. This witness is a neutral observer, which helps us release judgment and be at ease with whatever arises.Through this journey, we learn that by simply bringing loving awareness to our physical sensations, we can unlock emotional barriers and deepen our connection with our true essence.Dr. Debajyoti Ray was born in Kolkata, India, and started practicing meditation from a young age. He is a leading A.I. scientist and neuroscientist who wants to harness this technology for wellness.
