Each position, or asana, assumed during class lasts several breath cycles to allow practitioners to ease themselves into complicating forms without getting left behind. It also requires purposeful concentration, as we utilize large muscle groups simultaneously, working through full ranges of motion at the joints. Breathwork techniques, like Pranayama & diaphragmatic breath, will be introduced.
