Vi inviterer herved til håndverksmarked på Kaupang.
Vi starter opprigging 25.6. og du er hjertelig velkommen fra klokken 10:00 denne dagen.
Det vil være åpning av markedet for publikum fredag klokken 10. og markedet vil stenge igjen klokken 18, for publikum. Vi vil også holde åpent for publikum lørdag klokken 10-18 og søndag klokken 10-17. Det vil IKKE være mulighet for opprigging eller nedrigging i åpningstiden.
På lørdag vil det bli avholdt gilde, og dere er alle invitert. Mer info om gilde vil komme når dette er avklart.

!!! Det er kun mulighet for salg av produkter som er direkte tilknyttet håndverket du demonstrerer under selve markedet. Dette skal også være fra vikingtid !!!
Hodnuholt Vikinglag arrangerer et håndverkersmarked på Kaupang siste helgen i juni 2026. Dette er et marked med spesielt fokus på å bevare og formidle vikingtidens historie og håndverkstradisjoner til et bredere publikum.
Dette er et marked med spesielt fokus på barn og ungdom.
Dette er første gang vi arrangerer dette markedet, men målet er at vi kan avholde et slikt håndverksmarked på Kaupang, hver sommer, i årene som kommer, og etablere oss som et av de virkelig faglig sterke markedene i Norden.
Vi ønsker å skape en læringsarena hvor besøkende kan se, lære og selv delta i aktiviteter, som vil bli demonstrert som en del av liv og kultur i vikingtiden.
Gjennom dette markedet er målet at vi sammen vil styrke tilknytningen til lokalhistorien i Vestfold, og bidra til å opprettholde Kaupang som et levende historisk senter, og få markert denne historiske byen på kartet, som den første byen på Vikingveien i Vestfold, som er et prosjekt i Vestfold fylkeskommune.
Prosjektet gjennomføres som et samarbeid med Vikinger i Vestfold og Telemark, Vestfold fylkeskommune og Kaupangprosjektet, som sikrer en autentisk og faglig forsvarlig ramme.

We hereby invite you to craftmarket at Kaupang.
We will start setting up on 25. of June and you are most welcome from 10:00 on this day.
The market will open to the public on Friday at 10:00 and the market will close again at 18:00 for the public. We will also be open to the public on Saturday from 10:00 to 18:00 and Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00. There will be NO opportunity for setting up or taking down tents or gear during opening hours.
On Saturday, a Gilde will be held, and you are all invited. More info about the Gilde will come when this is clarified.

Hodnuholt Vikinglag is organizing a craftsman's market at Kaupang the last weekend in June 2026. This is a market with a special focus on preserving and communicating the history and craft traditions of the Viking Age to a wider audience.
This is a market with a special focus on children and young adults.
This is the first time we are organizing this market, but the goal is that we can hold such a craftsman's market at Kaupang, every summer, in the years to come, and establish ourselves as one of the truly professionally strong markets in the Nordic countries.
We want to create a learning arena where visitors can see, learn and participate in activities themselves, which will be demonstrated as part of life and culture in the Viking Age.
Through this market, the goal is that we together will strengthen the connection to local history in Vestfold, and help maintain Kaupang as a living historical center, and have this historic town marked on the map, as the first town on the Viking Road in Vestfold, which is a project in Vestfold County Municipality.
The project is being carried out as a collaboration with Vikinger i Vestfold og Telemark, Vestfold County Municipality and the Kaupang Project, which ensures an authentic and professionally sound framework.
