Cyprus officially joins the Wacken Metal Battle for the first time, forming a shared competitive region with Greece. 

Six Cypriot bands selected through the official Wacken Metal Battle application will perform at Savino Live. Each band gets a 30 minute set in front of an international judging panel.

At the end of the night, two bands will be chosen to represent Cyprus at the 'Greece-Cyprus Regional Final' in Athens on April 5th, 2026. The winner of that final earns a slot at 
Wacken Open Air.
