Love music and always curating the perfect playlist for every mood? Ever wondered how DJs create seamless mixes, perfect transitions, and those cool effects that keep the vibe flowing? Learn to DJ is designed for ages 9 and up who are ready to turn their love of music into hands-on DJ skills.
In this class, participants will learn the basics of DJing—how to blend songs smoothly, time transitions with precision, and add simple effects to create a clean, flowing mix. By the end of the class, you’ll be able to build and perform a short playlist of your own creation*.
Students will learn from the pro, DJ Speedy Jr., DJ and podcaster, while also gaining an introduction to the equipment and tools DJs use.

Registration is required by March 6
*Please note, there will be no physical DJ equipment (turntable) used in this class. You will only learn the basics using the free software, Serato DJ Lite.
Items needed for class:
-Laptop
-Headphones
-Download the FREE "Serato DJ Lite" software, which will be used throughout the class
-Please come prepared with saved music files or access to a paid streaming service to use during instruction
