Join us on the third Sunday of every month for our open‑to‑the‑public Defensive Pistol match!
Early guidance (8:15 a.m.) - A seasoned shooter will be on site from 8:15 a.m. to answer questions and review rules, policies, and fundamentals with new or inexperienced shooters.
Check‑in & safety briefing (9:00 a.m.)- Please arrive by 9:00 a.m. to help with set‑up, register, and attend the mandatory safety briefing.
Cost - $15 per shooter — pay at registration.
Who can shoot? - We welcome all skill levels! Just come with a solid grasp of basic firearm safety and handling. The match focuses on safety and fundamentals, so you can run each stage in the way that best suits you.
Stage style - Most courses are “move‑and‑shoot” scenarios—skills that are hard to practice safely anywhere but a structured match. It’s a fun way to build confidence and ability!
Gear requirements
* Handguns must be cased or carried in a strong‑side, outside‑the‑waistband holster.
* Pistol‑caliber carbines (PCCs) must stay cased until it’s time to shoot.
Location - Northern Colorado Rod & Gun Club — about 20–25 minutes northwest of Fort Collins and 40–45 minutes southwest of Cheyenne.
