Weaving the Web: Humility

Join us in-person or online for our weekly Community Night: an open, cross-tradition discussion space where we learn, share, and build community together. We gather every Wednesday evening for discussion, meditation, ritual nights, and more, with time to socialize before and after.

We start at 6:00pm for casual social time, then at 6:30pm we begin the main discussion (and stream it live on YouTube). After the formal portion ends, we usually keep the Zoom call open a bit longer for chatting as folks head out.

Humility is less about making yourself small and more about staying teachable.

This week we're looking at humility through the lens of our spiritual practice, remembering there's always more to learn. Humility helps us resist the urge to put ourselves above others just because we've got more (it's really just "different") experience or knowledge.

We'll explore:

• Humility as service: why so many icons are remembered for how they showed up for others through teaching, leading by example, and staying grounded.
• Honor & humility as a matched pair: in the Charge of the Goddess we're asked to hold both because they balance each other.
• Ego, but make it balanced: confidence is fine. (Just ask the Confident Witch!) The problems come when confidence turns into "I'm better than you...and most of us can probably feel the moment that line gets crossed.
• Humility in leadership: looks like asking for help, owning for and repairing mistakes, listening down the hierarchy, and staying open to learning new things in new ways.

Think of one place lately where you knew you were right ... and maybe another place where being "right" cost you a human connection. We'll look at the differences together.

Format: discussion. You're welcome to participate as a skeptic, a mystic, or a "I have no idea what I believe but I'm curious" person.

Secure recordings of discussions are available to Patreon subscribers at the Bobbin level and above (ritual recordings at the Balanced level and above.)

What to bring (optional but helpful): a notebook, water, and a grounded body. If you're joining from home, set up a cozy ritual space (with candles, incense, etc.) so you can drop into the practice more easily.
