Imbolc comes in the deepest part of winter, when the days are getting noticeably longer and yet nothing seems able to break the grip of the ice and snow over the land.
This Sabbat marks the season of intentions.
In the dark and the cold, before we can plant our seeds and really start to grow, we have this moment to reflect, to choose, and to deliberately shape our year ahead. Imbolc is the time to ask not only what we want to accomplish, but who we want to become.
At our traditional Weavers Imbolc ritual, each participant will set and charge a small number of personal intentions for the coming year. These may be aligned with the elements, with the zodiac, or simply with what matters most in your life right now.
Through guided ritual work, symbolic actions, chanting, and shared power, we will place these intentions into cookies and seeds, charge them together, and then eat or plant them to begin the process of manifestation from within.
This is a participatory ritual. No prior experience is required. Clear instructions will be given, and all are welcome.
What This Ritual Is AboutImbolc comes at the height of winter, when we are still in the womb of the Goddess.
This is the time of reflection, the last clearing away of what no longer serves us and consciously choosing what we wish to grow. In the great cycle of the Wheel, this is the season when we plan our purpose before we are reborn into the light of Spring.
