ABOUT THE DIRECTOR

Pierre Saint Martin Castellanos is a Mexican filmmaker whose work focuses on the intersection of personal grief and political history through a blend of satire and emotional realism. He made a massive impact with his debut feature, We Shall Not Be Moved, which swept the 2025 Ariel Awards and was selected as Mexico’s official submission for the 2026 Oscars. An alumnus of the Berlinale Talents and Sundance Labs, his storytelling often explores collective memory and the pursuit of justice, particularly regarding the 1968 Tlatelolco massacre.
