A powerful weekend.
A historic text.
A community gathered to listen.
You are invited to a staged dramatic reading of Letter from Birmingham Jail, one of the most enduring and challenging works in American history.
Directed by Metro Melik, this production brings together local actors and community leaders to give voice to Dr. King’s words, written from inside a jail cell and still pulsing with urgency today.
Sycamore Creek Church has produced this reading many times over the years with adults, with children, live, and on video. Each time, the words land fresh. Each time, they ask something of us.
