This is a showcase event, *NOT* a competition. We are celebrating all skill levels and creativity!
Created items may be offered for sale, but do not have to be. They can also be items created in the past at any time, no limit on when it was made!
Accessories or garments that are being showcased as refashion should be around 80% reused/reclaimed materials. This does not have to be an entire outfit, but could be a hat or single garment etc. Reclaimed materials can be, but are not limited to:
Worn out clothing
Clothing/textiles not appropriate for donation/resale
Leftover sections of fabric not sizeable enough for entire garment
Creative sources of "material" (old magazines? Recyclables etc)
Basically anything diverted from a landfill
There will also be co-working meet-ups at MSU Surplus Store & MSU Recycling Center for people who want assistance or just like working together. The meet-ups will be 11am - 3pm ET these Friday's in June: 6th, 13th, and 27th
