In case you missed it...we recently welcomed our new Lansing Poet Laureate, Suban Nur Cooley, for 2026-2028, and we are excited to have her as part of our first Creative Mixer of the year. Join us for "Poetry in Motion," featuring performances by Suban, an open mic that invites you all to share your creative expressions, and a stroll through Old Town with Suban to ignite your creative flame.

Do you write poetry? Write short stories? Play an instrument or sing (original songs)? Everyone is welcome to share their voice. Contact Taylor Haslett at taylor@lansingarts.org. Sign up will also be available at the door if we have enough spaces! Arts Council Members get first dibs on sign ups! We do ask that any poem, spoken word, lyrics, music, or excerpts you may share be your own writing. No AI please!
