- **Event Description**: Join Disability Network Capital Area as we celebrate 31 years of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). We gather together to honor the individuals who fought for disability rights, refusing to budge from the California State House for over 28 days before the Americans with Disabilities Act was signed into law. Their activism made the ADA possible, paving the way for more accessibility. 

We will celebrate outdoors, in person, in our building parking lot at 901 E. Mt. Hope Ave., Lansing, MI 48910. (If it rains we will move it indoors.) All guests will be required to complete a COVID-19 health screening at check-in and be expected to follow the most recent COVID-19 CDC guidelines. Guests will receive one meal ticket for Shove It Pizza, one shaved ice ticket for Kona Ice, and one ticket to enter into a drawing for lots of great prizes. DJ Ron will keep the music going and DNCAP board member Norm DeLisle will deliver a speech. There will also be emergency preparedness resources for all guests.
