With a passion for the obscure and the extraordinary, musician and record collector Rollie Tussing conjures the mystique of bygone eras, where forgotten melodies, wild animal calls, and enigmatic instruments intertwine in compositions that defy convention.  Past Listening Sessions have featured (among many others):

    Field recordings of Albanian musicians recorded weeks before Italy invaded in 1939, recorded by Professor Marbel of the University of Michigan, and found by Rollie in a thrift store in 2012. 
    The first recording that the influential guitarist Lonnie Johnson made after the Great Depression, and ultimately the last song he would ever record playing fingerstyle. 
    A Hawaiian quartet playing the Lee County Revelers’ hit "Wednesday Night Waltz". Fiddle/guitar duets from French Canada
    …And a recording of a man who was reportedly born with a bird larynx rather than a human voice
