# Event Details - **Event Name**: Emergency Medical Responder - November 17 - December 05, 2025 - Langley (Including - **Event Start and End Date**: Mon, 17 Nov, 2025 at 08:30 am – Sun, 30 Nov, 2025 at 04:30 pm - **Event Description**: Participants will learn and demonstrate all knowledge and skills needed to provide appropriate patient assessments, interventions, and on-going care, including the transportation of a patient to a healthcare facility. The course is geared towards professionals in emergency medical care who may be responsible for initial assessments, the provision of safe and prudent care, and the transport of a patient to the most appropriate healthcare facility. Course content may vary depending on jurisdictional requirements and, in addition, follows the National Occupational Competency Profiles (NOCP) as defined by the Paramedic Association of Canada. Participants will be engaged in dynamic training techniques including video, media presentations, skills demonstrations, practice sessions, discussions and scenarios based on real-life situations. Prerequisite Participant must be certified in Standard First Aid with CPR level C. Acceptable providers include Canadian Red Cross, Heart & Stroke, St. John Ambulance, LIfe Saving Society, and Canadian Ski Patrol. Requirements for completion Successfully demonstrate the required skills Minimum 75% mark for written, closed book, knowledge evaluation Successfully complete two evaluated scenarios (one medical and one trauma) Attend and participate in 100% of the course Course Price EMR Full – $2,025 + GST – includes digital textbook EMR Bridge – $1,350 + GST – includes digital textbook Optional Purchase – Emergency Care for Professional Responders Hard Copy Manual – $135 + GST/PST Course Duration 120 hours plus testing (included as part of the course) Language English Certificate 3 Year certification This 120 hour course includes all 2023/2024 Schedule 1 & 2 scope expansion requirements.
