Jas possesses extensive experience as a Senior Mechanical/Welding Quality Inspector, accumulating over two decades of expertise in the field. Holding esteemed certifications such as SCWI-AWS and CWB Level 3, alongside CWB-approved welding engineer qualification (47.1/47.2), Jas has overseen numerous pivotal projects in welding and inspection. As a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) registered with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC), the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA), and the Northwest Territories and Nunavut Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists (NAPEG), Jas remains dedicated to upholding excellence in welding and inspection throughout his career.

Jas's professional journey has encompassed roles at renowned industry leaders including General Electric, ISGEC Heavy Industries, Provincial regulator Technical Safety BC, Wellons Canada Corp., and his current position as Engineering Manager with Elander Inspections. With significant experience in nuclear pressure vessels at ISGEC Heavy Industries and varied roles within General Electric—GE Energy, GE Aviation, and GE Transportation (now Webtec)—Jas consistently delivers outstanding results. His proficiency in welding technology, NDT methodologies, materials science, and quality assurance has been instrumental in the success of numerous high-profile projects.

As a seasoned industry leader, Jas is actively involved in prestigious projects as an owner’s inspector for piping, where he maintains the highest standards of professionalism and integrity using various ASME, AWS, and CSA standards. Additionally, he holds certification as a Pressure Equipment Inspector with the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors, further highlighting his commitment to ensuring safety and quality in his field.
