She then completed a specialty internship and a residency in comparative ophthalmology at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama, while concurrently earning a master’s degree in veterinary biomedical sciences, focusing on refractive error in equine eyes following corneal surgical procedures. She has been an Assistant Professor of Clinical Veterinary Ophthalmology at the University of California, Davis since 2022.Dr. Carrie Finno, DVM PhD DACVIMDr. Carrie Finno is a veterinary clinician scientist with a PhD in comparative pathology and post-doctorate training in comparative genomics. She has a strong commitment to biomedical research in the field of translational inherited neuromuscular disorders. Dr. Finno has published over 120 papers.
