Hosted by Trood Morrison and Nisi Crerar, Beauty in Decay is a unique autumn retreat where we’ll explore how embracing life’s changes – from laughter lines to falling leaves – can help us live more fully and joyfully in the here and now.
Through a blend of nourishing yoga (Hatha, Ashtanga & Yin) and gentle, compassion-focused meditations, Trood will guide you to discover your own strength, softness, and self-acceptance. We’ll touch on ideas from yoga and Buddhist philosophy, but always in a way that feels grounded, relatable, and open to everyone.
Together, we’ll reflect on questions like:
✨ What if ageing could be celebrated instead of feared?
✨ How might life change if we stopped criticising our changing bodies?
✨ What does it really mean to “age well”?
Autumn is the perfect season for this kind of reflection – a time of colour, cosying in, and letting go. To help you connect with nature’s beauty, Nisi will lead gentle outdoor practices that awaken all your senses to the surrounding Scottish countryside.
This weekend is designed for those with some yoga experience who are ready for an inspiring mix of movement, meditation, conversation, and fresh country air.
Dates: Friday,19th–Sunday, 21st September
Location: The world-renowned Samye Ling Tibetan Buddhist Monastery, Eskdalemuir
Cost: £155 (deposit £75, non-refundable) + accommodation (£59/night payable to Samye Ling on arrival) – total £273, including all meals.
If you’re looking for a weekend of warmth, connection, and self-discovery in a breathtaking autumn setting, we’d love to welcome you.
