Die satirisch angelegte epische Dichtung „La Divina Commedia“ („Die Göttliche Komödie“) gilt als eines der bedeutendsten Werke der Weltliteratur und diente Liszt als Inspirationsquelle für seine Sinfonie. Dante Alighieris Reise durch Hölle und Fegefeuer erzählt von Gut und Böse, von korrupten Politikern und ehrlosen Päpsten und zeigt uns Franz Liszt als unglaublich modernen und zukunftsweisenden Komponisten. Mit der Einspielung und Veröffentlichung der Dante-Sinfonie startete Martin Haselböck mit seiner Wiener Akademie vor fünfzehn Jahren ein epochales Unterfangen: sämtliche Orchesterwerke Franz Liszts im sogenannten „Sound of Weimar“ auf Originalinstrumenten in Raiding aufzunehmen. Das Projekt ist abgeschlossen und das internationale Presseecho war enorm und überwältigend. Gemeinsam mit den Wiener Chorknaben verspricht nun diese Aufführung zu einem Erlebnis der Sonderklasse zu werden.
